Club rides: Normal meeting place is old B&Q carpark at Coypool, although Thursday rides may start at the Secretary’s house. The meeting point will be posted along with propsed route at least 24 hours before start.
Ideally prior notice of such rides will be posted on the website and/or on our Facebook page https://en-gb.facebook.com/stbudeauxcc/
Depending on route there may be pick-up points along the way – usually The George at Roborough, Deep Lane or Ferry terminal
Sundays – meet 0900
Thursdays – meet 0930
Tuesdays – meet at 0900. Usually an ad-hoc ride with destination being determined on the day depending on who is & how many are riding. This ride may be a mountain bike event and will be detailed beforehand.
Although not mandatory for club rides members are strongly advised to have personal insurance for third party liability to cover any damage or injury toy may cause to other people or property. Membership of Cycling UK (formerly the CTC) or British Cycling (BC) provides such cover – BC also includes some cover for personal accident.
Neither of the above insurance covers theft or damage to your own bike – if you want such cover then it must be arranged separately.
Some household insurances provide cover for bikes but may be limited to theft/damage whilst at the registered address only and some will only provide cover for bikes up to a certain value.
Anybody acting in an official capacity as a club officer (which includes ride leaders) is covered by the club’s indemnity insurance through its affiliation to BC (number 113452).
Helmets must be worn on club rides.
